Bio-Slow 3.6.9 is a slow release fertilizer for bonsai ideal for autumn care. It prepares the plant for dormancy and promotes structural balance. It can also be used during the maintenance and refinement stages. The organic formula contains low levels of nitrogen. At the same time, the high levels of phosphorus and potassium stimulate lignification. This process strengthens the trunk and improves structural stability. As a result, it also promotes fine branching and compact foliage. Controlled nutrition reduces internode elongation. In addition, the formula supports the development of secondary branches.
Bio-Slow 3.6.9 provides magnesium, that is an element that helps to prevent iron chlorosis and maintain deep green foliage. It contains Ryzea, a complex of bioactive seaweed molecules. These compounds enhance nutrient uptake through their natural chelating action. The pellets dissolve gradually without damaging roots. How to apply slow release fertilizer for bonsai?
Bio-Slow 3.6.9 is a slow release fertilizer for bonsai that improves soil structure without leaving toxic residues. This bonsai fertilizer is ideal for plants that do not require strong vegetative vigor. For pots up to 50 cm in diameter, first apply 45 g of pellets evenly on the soil surface, then irrigate thoroughly. Reduce the dosage for smaller containers. Keep the soil moist during fertilization to ensure proper nutrient release. Apply once a month, but only after the previous dose has completely dissolved. Alternatively, dissolve 20 g in one liter of water. Then, use this solution in fertigation every two weeks. For enhanced results, combine with Giovis PK 30-20, a phosphorus and potassium bioactivator. When used together, this combination promotes lignification, strengthens plant tissues, improves nutrient uptake, and supports natural defenses. Together they provide balanced winter protection and strong spring recovery, ensuring consistent and professional bonsai care results.

It is advised to reduce the doses for those potted plants with a diameter below 50 centimeters. Use the product during the cold seasons. It is also suitable for plants that do not need a vegetative vigour. It is preferable to apply once a month and only if the fertilizer is completely dissolved. The product use is higly versatile. Bio-Slow 3.6.9. can be used in synergy with other Bioges’s products. In case of mixing of the two or three products, it is necessary to halve the doses. Then apply only in fertigation.
